Fragility of Memory

In July of 2023, I found myself feeling insecure about my memory while simultaneously noticing a congruence in the lives of the people around me. Going through the pandemic has caused people's already cyclical lives to compress closer together. At the start of this project, many of my friends and family were going through major life changes. People were moving, beginning or ending relationships, and going back to school.

This project has been acting as a way to reconcile that insecurity about my own memory through portraits of other people over long periods of time with accompanying voice interviews. The interviews have been structured around ideas of memory, place, and transition points.
